I started development on MyBattery 3.0 last fall. When Apple introduced the PowerBook 500 series, they also introduced a whole truckload of changes to the Power Manager software, the most obvious of which was support for multiple batteries. MyBattery 3.0 will provide full support for these new features.
I had hoped to have the new version ready late last year. But other demands on my time slowed the development down a lot. Additionally, I've gone through several paradigm shifts about where I wanted MyBattery to go.
MyBattery 3.0: The Next Generation
Although I seriously contemplated expanding MyBattery's role from a battery monitoring utility to a power conservation utility, I've decided that MyBattery should continue as it is. MyBattery 3.0 will introduce full support for dual batteries, more flexible display options, a better history display, and some other nifty stuff.
Spring 1995 Release
As of today, MyBattery 3.0 is 85% coded, although there is a lot of testing still to be done. I'm shooting for a release by the end of March, so keep an eye out for it!
